Tonight, Downtowners give the worst pope of the last ten centuries a fitting “welcome”! Performers include: Darlinda Just Darlinda, Dirty Martini, Sister Hattie Hathaway OMD, John Roberts, La JohnJoseph, Mr. Murray Hill, Sequinette, Sultana, Tabboo!, Mike Albo, Erin Markey, Chris Tanner, Monsignor Flloyd, Lance Cruce, and Saint Lavinia Co-op, with a special appearance by The NYC Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Hosting the evening (and roasting for all eternity,) is that renowned Catholic-basher, Linda Simpson. And Dany Johnson spins ecclesiastic hits from the secret Vatican Vaults.
There will be two big shows at 11PM & 12:30 AM plus a religious costume contest with stunning sacred prizes!
Then it’s a hop,skip and a jump to the Bowery Poetry Club
