Darlinda Just Darlinda will arrive straight from New York City with her Polyester Players to star in a full evening of Nouveau Burlesque

Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 25,26,27, 2008.

All performances are at 8 pm at the Caspar Community Center.

Tickets can be ordered in advance by sending a check to Rhoda Teplow Presents for $20 each to Post Office Box 453, Mendocino, CA 95460 and they will be held at the door.

In conjunction with this weekend’s NOUVEAU BURLESQUE REVUE 2 AT CASPAR COMMUNITY CENTER,
MISS INDIGO BLUE AND DARLINDA JUST DARLINDA will grace the Community Center’s South Room with two workshops on burlesque and makeup on Saturday, July 26, 2008.

SATURDAY JULY 26, 2008

BASIC BURLESQUE DANCE MOVES FOR ALL LEVELS 3:00-4:00 pm, COST: $15 advance and $20 at the class and
TASSEL TWIRLING FOR THE TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY 4:30 to 5:30, COST: $20/$50 with tassels.

MAKEUP FOR QUEENS AND FLASHY LADIES Learn make-up with a drag queen twist from 3:00-5:00 pm COST:$30 or $25 with your own lashes. Class taught by Darlinda Just Darlinda. Call 707-964-2787 for reservations.

SATURDAY JULY 26, 2008 3:00-4:00 pm,
BASIC BURLESQUE DANCE MOVES FOR ALL LEVELS
The first workshop will be from 3 to 4 pm and is BASIC BURLESQUE DANCE MOVES FOR ALL LEVELS or how to learn the fundamentals of the bump, grind, shimmy and shake! This beginning level dance class is perfect for non-dancers, and adds some new perspective and repertoire for those with some dance experience. Open to everyone with a body who can comfortably stand, walk and wiggle! All ages, shapes, abilities, backgrounds and genders. Please wear comfortable stretchy clothing like yoga pants and bring a pair of high heels and your own water! Miss Indigo Blue will provide gloves and boas to practice with! The cost of this class is $15 in advance or $20 the day of the class.

SATURDAY JULY 26, 2008 4:30 to 5:30
TASSEL TWIRLING FOR THE TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY
The second workshop on Saturday will be at 4:30 to 5:30 pm and is TASSEL TWIRLING FOR THE TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY or how to construct, affix, and twirl nippple-tassel pasties! This is “a participants only” class as everyone who attends will be removing their shirts and affixing pasties. No spectators. Please wear clothing that will allow removing your top to affix pasties. The cost of this class is $20 including loaner pasties. If you would like to purchase tasseled pasties and adhesive of your own the price is $50 which includes a $10 discount! Class minimum will be 8 attendees and maximum is 25. Participants under 18 must come with parental permission.

MAKEUP FOR QUEENS AND FLASHY LADIES
Learn stage make-up with a drag queen twist! Ever wondered how to make your lips glitter and your eyes twinkle? Watch as Darlinda Just Darlinda teaches you the basics of drag make-up so you can be the most fabulous on the stage or at a party! Learn how to apply false eyelashes, glitter eye shadow, glitter lipstick and other tips and tricks to make your make-up spectacular. Glitter provided! The instructor will be Darlinda Just Darlinda direct from New York City from 3 to 5 pm at the Caspar Community Center on
Sunday, July 27th. The cost is $30 or $25 with your own lashes. Call 964-2787 to reserve a place today because space is limited to participants. Supplies: Bring your own mascara, creme foundation, liquid eye liner, and a shirt you don’t mind getting a little messy. Eyelashes included in the $30.
