Today is National Coming Out Day, I don’t talk about my personal life so much but so you know it, I’m Queer/Lesbian/Bisexual (though this is a limiting word as it implies only 2 genders.)

But FIRST let’s talk about the big PUSSYFLY in the room
So I’m in recovery from participating in every hour of
Taylor Mac’s A 24 Decade History of Popular Musicat St. Ann’s Warehouse on Saturday/Sunday. I could wax poetic on how much participating in this show has inspired me, but I’ll keep it as brief as possible, the last line of the last song on the last hour was “You can lie down or get up and Play” As you may or may not know, I’m taking a break from producing burlesque shows (apart from The 10th Annual Menorah Horah on December 24th (SAVE THE DATE!) So,”What’s next?” you may ask! I’m asking the same question! Taylor wrote, performed, and co-directed a TWENTY FOUR HOUR SHOW/ RADICAL FAERIE RITUAL/PERFORMANCE ART CONCERT. When Taylor asked me to be in The Lily’s Revenge in 2009, I thought, “A FIVE HOUR SHOW!? How’s THAT going to work?!” And after that, I was worried for Taylor, “how can judy* top that?” Well, judy, DID! And from this inspiration I hope that I can create a Performance Art/Dance/Theater piece that will inspire YOU. Anyway, I’m here to “Get up and Play!” And the reason I’m writing this here, is so that you, my fans, friends, family and community can hold me accountable!
